WaveArray Uses Machine Learning
Why Machine Learning (ML): Our advanced sensors feed real-time performance data into ML algorithms. The system continuously learns how to:
- Optimize antifouling waveforms for maximum effectiveness
- Detect anomalies early before they become costly problems
- Report system health with accuracy and confidence
Result: A smarter, more reliable, and more effective antifouling solution.
WaveArray’s Comprehensive Solutions For Boats, Large Yachts, Cruise Lines, and Commercial Ships:
- SlipArray (Today): Electronically Steerable System
- SlipArray (Post-Funding): AI / Sensor Feedback Control
- ShipArray (Today): Signal Superposition through phase cycling
- ShipArray (Post-Funding): Signal superposition through intelligent feedback control of individual transducer phases
Biofouling Key Facts
- Biofouling begins within hours of a ship being stationary
- Recreational boats typically spend over 90% of the time stationary in docks
- As little as 1% calcareous fouling can increase fuel consumption dramatically
Extra fuel cost per year:
40ft Boat = $4k
1000ft Ship = $52M
How the External Solutions works (Slip & Dock Arrays)
- Similar to modern radar (Phased Array)
- Ultrasound Array is made of a 2 x 4 matrix of transducers
- Proprietary control electronics & software
- Covers an area 12 ft x 7 ft (W xH) with micro cavitation bubbles forming a protective "moat"
- Fouling larva cannot penetrate the protective "moat" of bubbles
Underlying Technology
- Ultrasonic Energy Beam Guided b y a Phased Coherent Array of Transducers
- Custom in House Designed Electronics - Driving & Beam Forming, for Harsh Marine
- Simulation Shows a 2-Dimensional View of Beam Steering
- Customer App Using a Cellular IOT Network

WaveArray’s Internal Solution ShipArray
Preventing biofouling BEFORE it happens
ShipArray 1.0
- Hull vibration creates cavitation, preventing biofouling
- Current solutions in the market Have limited effectivity and still require toxic paint and regular cleanings to have any efficacy
ShipArray 2.0
- Based on Patented WaveArray IP
- Sensors provide feedback to controller which distributes power as needed
- Currently in development, due to market early ‘26
